The Galloping Inn is a historic farmhouse build in approximately 1860 by Jared Boardman. Mr. Boardman acquired the property from Eli Wyman in 1843. The location has a very rich history.
Fortunately, much of the original structure remains. Today, the great room offers a large stone fireplace to warm up by after outdoor activities. A solid cherry wood bar is the perfect place to enjoy an evening cocktail (bring your own) and recap the days activities. We have a full kitchen with plenty of room to cook a big meal.
We have Dish Network at the property and a entertainment area upstairs which serves as great place to wind down – especially good for kids.
There are three bedrooms in the farmhouse. Two have king beds and a private bath. The third has two double beds and a half bath.
The farmhouse rooms are the Parlor, The Roost, and The Suite. Adjacent to the farmhouse is the Cabin
We offer the property for private rentals year round.
Beautifully and comfortably decorated, the Parlor's charm is very popular. Enjoy a soak in the claw foot tub, then warm up by the fire of your private pellet stove. The Parlor has its own entrance and private deck. It features a king size bed. There is an attached sitting room that has a sleeper sofa and a small refrigerator and coffee machine.
With its upscale décor and vaulted ceiling, the master suite has a king bed, pellet stove and a view of the hillside and rolling meadows out back. It features a full bath and private outdoor stairway entrance.
There is a guest suite available that can be booked as an add on to the Parlor or Roost. It is a very cozy room, comfortably decorated with two full sized beds. There is a half bath just outside the door. This room is perfect for kids.
The Cabin is located about 500 feet behind the main lodge. It's nestled in between two corals. So you can sit out on its back deck porch swing and watch the horses graze. Decorated in a rustic sportsman motif, it has its own full bath, small refrigerator, coffee machine and microwave. The Cabin also has an antique wood burning stove and breakfast bar. There is one queen sized bed and a sleeper sofa.
